Tessa den Hartog has been appointed as SYBAss’s new operational director. As of the beginning of September, she will be taking over the tasks of Robert van Tol who will focus on further growing Water Revolution Foundation in his new role as executive director.
“I would like to warmly welcome Tessa to the team and thank Robert for his many years of service in the role of SYBAss’ operational director,” commented Theo Hooning, secretary general of SYBAss.
Tessa started her career in the maritime industry in 2016 at Netherlands Maritime Technology where she was involved in the development of a database of sustainable solutions for the commercial shipping sector. Tessa then moved to the world of leisure boating and yachts when she joined HISWA, the Dutch marine industry association, where she ran a promotional campaign along with events to grow boating in the Netherlands. With her experience in association management, knowledge of the maritime industry and her Bachelor Degree in Communications, Tessa knows how to add value for member companies and the wider industry.
“My family have always owned a boat and I love being on the water so it was no surprise when I started my career in the maritime industry. I immediately developed a passion for the ever-innovative yachting sector, in particular, due to the amazing craftsmanship on display at shipyards. It’s therefore not a stretch to say that I am very excited to get this unique opportunity to contribute to SYBAss and dedicate myself to the interests of these leading superyacht yards around the world. I look forward to meeting you all in Monaco soon,” commented Tessa.
Tessa will work from the SYBAss office in Amsterdam.
