Tankoa Yachts is a Genoa-based builder of luxury superyachts from 45 to 90 metres, founded by a group of shareholder members who are highly experienced in this size range. We aim to partner with each of our clients to develop and deliver a highly personalized experience, resulting in a yacht that is not only of superb quality but that also exceeds their highest expectations.
In order to offer the widest scope of options to our clients, as well as providing an in-house design service, Tankoa has developed successful relationships with many of the world’s most celebrated yacht designers. We are proud to count our craftsmen as among the best in Italy, with each member of the team completely committed to and accountable for the quality of our finished yachts.
In 2015, Tankoa completed its first superyacht, the 69-metre M/Y Suerte, which was closely followed by the delivery of 50-metre M/Y Vertige in 2016. Vertige proved to be highly popular with the market and she resulted in four more orders being placed for yachts of the same design platform. Tankoa’s third project, the hybrid-propulsion M/Y Bintador, won widespread acclaim and was named as Best Displacement Motor Yacht (Below 499GT and 40m+) at the 2020 World Superyacht Awards.
Tankoa’s 72-metre M/Y Solo, delivered in summer 2018, has been one of her size category’s most applauded yachts in recent history, both in terms of her efficiency and sustainability achievements. In 2019, she was bestowed with the Game Changer Award by the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards, as well as the RINA Green Plus Platinum Award.
Developing its offering beyond new build projects to also include refit works, Tankoa’s 100-metre dry dock is strategically located in Genoa’s Marina Aeroporto, just two minutes’ drive from the city’s international airport.
Looking to the future while maintaining its “boutique shipyard” DNA, Tankoa is expanding its range to include semi-displacement yachts from 30 to 45 metres. These yachts will be built at the company’s newly acquired facilities at the site of Cantieri di Pisa, a highly respected shipyard that has been in operation for 75 years.
