AMELS also offers Full Custom one-off creations in the 80 to 110-metre segment, plus a busy Refit division and the innovative Yacht Support range of vessels.
Owners create their vision of yachting at the highest level at AMELS, whose design and engineering teams collaborate with the most renowned international exterior and interior designers. It’s the refinement of every detail that makes an AMELS yacht unique.
Today AMELS operates the largest superyacht facility in the Netherlands. Based in Vlissingen, a centre of shipbuilding expertise directly on the North Sea, AMELS craftsmen share a rich, centuries-old tradition of nautical excellence. The 100,000sq m yard includes covered, fully climate-controlled dry docks and a newly commissioned modern dry dock that accommodates the largest of private yachts up to 200 metres in length. Comprehensive paint facilities ensure the highest quality finish.
Since 1991, AMELS has been part of the family-owned DAMEN Shipyards – the largest shipbuilding group in the Netherlands, and one of the world’s top shipbuilders. Together with DAMEN, AMELS offers the unique range of Yacht Support vessels up to 85 metres. Purpose-built for the superyacht scene, these high-speed, patented SEA AXE vessels can support the mothership with more toys, larger tenders, specialist gear, ancillary personnel and a fully certified helideck and hangar.
AMELS delivers what it promises: more than owning a yacht, it’s the door to creating priceless memories. This is what AMELS calls the Art of Yachtbuilding.
